BOY MOMENTS Interview with Felicity Loughrey, Editor, Vogue.com.au

    1. How did you come up with the idea/concept of Vogue's Online Shopping Night?

FL: It’s a natural extension of Fashion’s Night Out. We’ve taken online shopping and given you the perfect reason to get together with friends, kick off your heels and spoil yourself as Vogue brings you the best that e-commerce has to offer.

    2. Do you think it would generate more sales since it is online?

FL: We have hundreds of local and international brands participating. They have all created amazing special offers for the night. We have really high hopes for the event.

    3. What is it you think the online media gives that is important to the fashion industry?

FL: There is so much inspiration to be found online. I think blogs, tumblrs and sites like Polyvore and Pinterest are a way for people in the fashion industry and outside the industry to explore and define personal style.

For local designers the internet allows them to sell their wares to far-flung places thanks to PayPal.

    4. What are some special offers that VOSN will give that normal shopping or online shopping won't give?

FL: There are so many offers. We have hundred of brands with special deals. You can read them here: http://www.vogue.com.au/extra/fashion+s+night+in+retailers,95
